My favorite 80's song from Diana Ross was Swept Away, which hit #19 in November '84.

Teena Marie had her biggest pop hit with Lovergirl, which hit #4 in march '85. R.I.P. LADY T

THE GODDESS scored another huge solo hit with Talk To Me, which peaked at #4 in February '86.

Cyndi Lauper spent two weeks at #1 in November '86 with True Colors, which has gone on to become an equality anthem.

Tina Turner had the biggest comeback of the decade, but my favorite Tina song is sadly overlooked and rarely heard, even though it won her the Grammy. One of the Living hit #15 in November '85
